Sorry I haven’t written in awhile. Sometimes time gets away from you.
Josh and I have been very busy outside this spring. He built a flowerbed in front of the house out of old railroad ties. It looks nice. I planted dahlias in the flowerbed; they are all different colors. Then we planted a climbing rose bush next to the front steps so when it gets big it can wrap around the railing. I decided not to do a garden this year. Last year I didn’t get much out of it. Plus, we thought we would put our fire pit back there. We’ve planted about 10 golden privet bushes along the parking lot. They will grow to about 7 feet tall and grow together as a hedge so then we can get some privacy on our property. I’ve planted three peony bulbs in the back as well, but they haven’t come up yet. Along the garage, Josh and I dug a big flowerbed and I planted a bunch of sunflower seeds. They just started popping up within the last week or so. Josh also cut down another tree on our property so now we have even MORE firewood!
Here is a picture of the cute groundhog that lives under our neighbors deck.
Last Friday night at 10pm Josh decided he wanted to have a garage sale. So we got up early and scrounged together a bunch of stuff to sell. We made about $70 but we still had a lot left over. We sold my old bowling ball, an extra Wizard of Oz DVD, Josh’s gas leaf blower, an extra circular saw he had, 3 bags of insulation, a nail gun, a box of golf balls, some extra landscape edging, and a broken chain saw (don’t worry, we told the buyer it was broken).
We didn’t sell our old entertainment center, headboard, desk, rug, hand mixer, bad DVDs, books, outdoor thermometer, firewood, or shoes. We might post the entertainment center and desk on Craig’s list and take the DVD’s and books to Half Price.

My mom said she’d take the headboard. Their new house is almost done. They close on May 31st and moving day is June 2nd. Then they will live only 1 mile from my house instead of 25. They are getting a new big screen TV and they said Josh and I could have their old one. Their old one is pretty big too, so Josh is all excited and can’t wait to watch Packer games on it.

Josh has started up his lawn care business again for the summer, so I designed him a new logo and business card. His old one was generic and designed by Kinko’s. Now he just needs to get them printed. His new logo is shown above.

Does anyone out there watch Survivor? The finale was on this past Sunday. I was shocked that Dreamz didn’t give Yauman his immunity necklace after promising it to him in exchange for a $60,000 truck. He could have at least given him the truck back! Yauman is the ultimate Survivor. Out of all the Survivors Yauman and Rupert are my favorites.

The new reality show by Mark Brunett starts May 31st, it’s called Pirate Master. Now that Survivor and Amazing Race has ended for a while I only have Desperate Housewives (ABC), The Real Deal (TLC) and Lost (ABC) left. Of course there is always my daily dose of All My Children (ABC) to depend on. I am very disappointed that Greenlee was recast. She was previously played by Rebecca Budig who married Bachelor Bob. The new Greenlee, Sabine Singh sucks. She always has a weird look on her face and she cannot act! She may get better though. When Chrishell Stause was cast on All My Children as Amanda, she wasn’t a very good actress either, but she has gotten really good over the past year.

A new season of Ghost Hunters is also starting on the Sci-Fi network next month. I love that show! It can get really freaky sometimes. Especially when they catch EVP’s (Electronic Voice Phenomenon), which are disembodied voices picked up by a recording device.
