Over the weekend, we got a blizzard and ended up with 15 inches of snow. Luckily, Josh got a snow blower for Christmas, so he used that a lot. I helped shovel, but now my arm hurts. I wish we had gotten all this snow in December so we could have had a white Christmas.
Since we had so much snow this weekend, we were pretty much cooped up inside a lot. The Pastor called Saturday morning and said that church was being cancelled and Saturday night our bowling league was cancelled because we had a blizzard warning. Over the weekend, I watched Die Hard 2, Star Wars IV, Indiana Jones and the Lost Ark, and Anger Management.
Yesterday we took the day off because we had carpet installed downstairs in the living and dining room. It is so nice and the house feels a lot warmer now. I love it!
They poured the foundation for my mom’s house a couple weeks ago. I am so excited; I cannot wait until it is all done. Then I will have someone in town that I know.
Last night I was lying on the couch watching TV and I had my glasses on cause I was going to go to bed soon and all of a sudden, my glasses just fell apart; I did not even touch them. It was so annoying. I already needed new lenses and now I need new frames too. :P Usually the ear stick things come off when the screws come loose or something, but my right side ear stick broke a couple centimeters before the screw. I do not know what is wrong with it.
I cannot wait until spring. I am already planning what I want in my garden this year and what kind of plants and flowers we are going to plant around the house. Hopefully we will be able to put a bush border between our property and the city parking lot. The stumps from the three pine trees we cut down are still there, but we are planning to rent a stump grinder and get rid of them soon. It will be nice when it is warm outside again, and we can grill out.
