I had my first doctor's appointment last week since delivering Katlyn. The autopsy results on the placenta showed that she died of not getting enough blood. And my lab tests from the hospital showed that I had a high blood clot level and my white blood cell count was a little high. They think I may have some sort of blood clotting disorder, but they will need to do some additional testing now that I'm not pregnant to tell for sure.
I wasn't able to meet with my regular doctor because she had the flu and then she was on vacation, but we're meeting with her next week to go over my test results from the hospital more thoroughly. Then she'll probably have us meet with a doctor who deals exclusively with high-risk pregnancy and we can talk about what steps need to be taken before I get pregnant again and then the plan of action once I do get pregnant again. They will most likely have to put me on aspirin and/or a blood thinner. They will also watch me more closely this time and have more ultrasounds and stuff.
It's so hard right now because I know that if I hadn't lost Katlyn, she would still be in my belly right now and would be due in only 6 weeks. I miss her sooo much! Sometimes I wish I would wake up one morning and discover that it was all a dream. Yesterday was my first day back to work since Feb 7th. It is nice getting back into a regular routine and seeing all my co-workers again, but it is hard moving on without Katlyn. It was hard being on maternity leave and not having a baby to care for. Josh and I still really want to have a family. Hopefully we can try again this summer.
On a brighter note; while I was on leave from work, Hollywood decided to travel to my town and begin shooting for the movie Public Enemies. It is directed by Michael Mann and stars Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. Unfortunately Christian Bale wasn't in any of the scenes being shot in my town, but Johnny Depp was. Their basecamp of trailers were located right next to my house. At the end of the first day of shooting Johnny Depp had finished up and was leaving to go back to his hotel. He rolled down the window and waved at everyone. I just happened to get a high-five from him. Here is a picture of me and Johnny seconds before our hands made contact. Luckily my step-dad caught this on his camera.
At the end of the second day of shooting there were people waiting around to see Johnny Depp leave for the day since he always waves to the fans. We were waiting when his security guard Jerry Judge came over and announced that Johnny would come over a sign autographs for 15-20 minutes. But there would be no screaming/yelling, you cannot step forward towards him, and he wouldn't be posing for pictures with people, but you were allowed to take his picture while he was signing. There was probably a crowd of about 100 people by the time he came over to sign autographs. Everyone was really good and I don't think anyone got out of line. Everyone followed the rules.
Johnny is soo good to his fans. After 15-20 minutes had passed, his body guard was telling him it was time to go, but Johnny said "No, these are my fans" and he stayed. He was soo nice. Initially I was really scared of his body guard Jerry Judge. He looks like a mafia hitman and is very intimidating. But in person he is really nice. He has an English accent and reminds me of Michael Caine.
The last day of filming there were roughly 500 people outside my house waiting to see Johnny Depp leave for the day so Jerry came around and announced that because there were so many people, Johnny would not be signing autographs, but he would walk down the street so people could take pictures and wave at him and stuff. I have a video of it. I'll post it on here once I get it on YouTube.
I guess they are coming back to film in a month or so once it is warmer out, but I'm glad they are gone for awhile. It was fun having them here, but it is nice being able to get into our driveway again and not being waken up by people outside our window screaming at tinted vans driving by at 6am. I can't wait until the movie comes out. It will be fun seeing our town in a movie.

Ohh, Jenny. I had no idea. I cried when I read about your loss. I'm so sorry. Thank goodness for some Johnny Depp and Public Enemies love to lift your spirits, if only for a moment.
I've had a few friends lose their first child, and it is devastating. The good news is that virtually all of them went on to have more children, and I believe you and Josh will too. Your baby girl will always be your first, and I hope there will be joy to fill you up when you have the next one.

I know you wrote this post a few months ago, but I was just reading back a bit and I wanted to tell you that you have really been on my heart about your loss lately. I was just looking at Josh's tattoo, it's a lovely tribute to your little girl.
You might guess that our road to parenthood was long and sometimes hard. I have a lot of empathy for what you went through. Child loss (in your case) and infertility (in mine) are the most difficult roads to walk. We are on the other side of it now and I know you will get there too. I am thinking of you and wishing you all the best.
Jerry Judge a Mafia hitman???? ROFL.. he's a funny little bloke with bad taste in ties!!!! you should look around a bit more and see some of the gorillas in the background... Jerry is famous for his observational skills & in being able to get actors to listen to him... he commands a lot of respect in the business - just so u know
