So Friday night I made spaghetti and cheesy garlic toast. Garlic cheese bread can be somewhat pricey in the store, so back in college Josh showed me how to make cheesy garlic toast which is just as good, but much cheaper. You preheat the oven to about 350 degrees, layout about 6 pieces of bread on a cookie sheet, butter one side of the bread, sprinkle them with garlic salt, then top with shredded cheese, then put it in the oven for like 5 minutes. It was very yummy and then we watched the movie "Inside Man" which Josh had just purchased at Walmart. We saw it in the Theater and thought it was good so now we got it on DVD.
Saturday I slept in a little and Josh took Tator to the vet to get her Heartguard stuff and she got weighed also. Last month she weighed 33lbs. This month she weighs 42lbs. She is getting to be a big Doggie! Then they came home and Josh and I went to Madison and ate at the mall. Of course I had Tacobell. Then we went over to the Theater and saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2. It was good, but beware, there will be another one coming out. After the movie we came home and Josh mowed the lawn and did some more lawn work. In our back yard past the edge of our property there is a little creek and there's a bunch of little bushes and trees and vines so you can't even see the creek. So Josh cut everything down so it didn't look like a jungle. He still has a little work to do but it looks a lot better already.
Then for dinner I made homemade Macaroni & Cheese. I got the recipe off the Food Network. A while back I had seen it made on Paula's Home Cooking and it looked really good. So I made it. It was a little bland but still good. I think it maybe needed more cheese. Maybe next time I make it I might put some cut up hotdogs in it too. Josh seemed to like it though. Then we watched the first Pre Season Packer Game. I think I fell asleep before half time. But Josh stayed up for the whole thing. I guess we lost 17 to 3, the San Diego Chargers won. I really want us to do good this year since it will probably be our last one with Brett Favre as quaterback.
Sunday we got up and went to Church; same old same old. Then we came home and I was still tired and Josh was gonna go do something with his brother so I went back to sleep. I got back up around 2 pm and decided I should get caught up with All My Children. So Tator and I watched that... well actually Tator pretty much just chewed her bone and I watched, but whatever.
Then Josh called me and said he was on his way home from Madison and his brother was coming over to help cut down another one of our dying trees. So they came and cut it down. When we moved in we had three big pine trees on one side of the house and they all have some weird blue/green fungus growing on them and they're dead inside. Our first week here we cut down the small one. Then we cut down the bigger one last week. Now that last one is gone too. You can actually see the house now. I love it. Now I just can't wait to get new siding. That will be awhile though. Here's some before and after pictures...

Remember what Blake did when we gave him a HUGE bone - ate the entire thing and got sick LOL
Sounds like a fun and interesting weekend! Our weekends are usually boring and chock full of things that we HAVE to do and not things we WANT to do. Oh, well. Maybe someday we'll get together, the four of us? It'd be fuuun! Maybe a weekend @ the dells this fall? Anyway, take care, and say hi to Josh and the canine and the felines! :)
