Tator the dog

Last month Josh and I decided it would be fun to get a dog. We've never been dog people but thought it might be fun. So we went to the Humane Society everyday after work until we found a dog we liked. She is a black lab mix and born February 8th 2006, so she is almost 6 months old. Josh said I could name her and since I love Baked Potatos, Mashed Potatos, Scalloped Potatos etc... I named her Tator!!! She knows how to sit and shake, but other than that she is untrained. We are currently looking into enrolling her into a obedience class. She needs to learn how to stay and not jump on people. The cats don't really like her. When she gets too close they hiss and smack her on the nose. Tator just sits there and looks at them. Her favorite toy is her stuffed Hedgie which squeaks, honks, and rattles. It's almost like having a toddler because you have to constantly be watching her to make sure she isn't getting into anything, peeing on the floor, or harassing the cats. We usually will keep her on a leash in the house so she is always close enough to us to not get into any trouble. Since we've had her, 6 of her baby teeth have fallen out and I've been keeping them. her new adult teeth are getting bigger everyday. She is a good dog most of the time and I know with some time and patience she will be the perfect Doggie.
